I decided to purchase the SilverStar bulbs - and fitted them yesterday.

The HAYNES manual states that you should remove the front bumper & centre grill to renew bulbs. This is true - but is not required if you are only changing the dipped beam (the usual one people use at night).

For all others - yes - remove the grill/bumper and remove the headlight unit.

However, for the dipped beam - you can replace the bulbs in about 10 mins!

** Remmeber not to touch the bulb!! - hold it by the SILVER base.. do not touch the glass **

You need to remove 2 trims from under the bonnet. 1. Remove the AIRFILTER trim on the LHS of the bonnet. There are 2 screws. Then pull out the square pipe that feeds into the airfilter. This comes out very easy = andcan just be pushed back in. Hey presto - you now have access to the rubber cover (which you remove) adn turn the bulb holder anti clockwise.

2. Where the power steering fluid container is - there is a black trim around this. This just clips on to the container. So, place your fingers under the trim - have a feel about () and llift up the clips. The trim just lifts off - and you now have access to the rubber cover of the bulb.

Hope this helps.
