Looking to buy a A3

Hi people

Im new here

im looking to buy a A3 in the new year, have got about 5k to spend, have seen loads for that sort of money with 70k on the clock, just wondering if theres anything i should look out for,

also have seen some have 1.8T on them and some have a red T whats that mean

Hi Keith
The red T just symbolises another type of engine, I suppose one with a little more horsepower. Are you after a petrol or diesel? The diesels are definitely more reliable, though you won't have too much trouble with a petrol Audi anyway. The only thing to look out for is too many flatspots in power, which can be caused by MAF problems. But as always FSH is handy!

spoke to my local garage and they also told me that these engines sometimes have problems with the MAF and temp sensors

trouble with diesel is now the government see everyone changing over as diesel where cheaper they are just gunna keep ramping up the cost lol
