We all sat glued to the screen whenever The Blue Planet, Walking With Dinasaurs etc... were on TV, so finding out that the BBC were taking the Blue Planet on the road and showing it on the biggest screen ever used in the UK (three stories high) took my fancy as a great family trip.
So I followed the link to look for the tickets to the show in Notts,
    http://www.theblueplanetlive.com/beThere.php

I nearly fell over when I saw the cost, £32 each, plus handling fee and postage. This is the BBC not Robbie Williams!!! We have paid for the series to be made and shown on TV, so why is there a need for them to rake in the money at such a rate from us again. OK so they want to cover costs instead of impacting the kitty and bunging up the lisence fee, but £32 per person would remake the whole series once you've toured the UK. Most programmes already send people around the world to do a 1min clip as a comparison to the main story at our expense. "Where as here in South America the trees form a canopy" Yeh, thanks, archive footage would have done without sending this particular host over there.

Looking around their website you can download programmes if you've missed them to watch at home, great. But why then do we have to buy them? I have a TV license, I have paid once, take my lisence number and just give me what I have already dished out for
