    Hi guys n' gal's

I'm looking to buy a Mk4 in Jan and I will want to connect up my Vag com to test it for errors etc before purchasing.
I was looking at http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/dlc.html for the diag port location.

I was just wondering is there a standard location for it in the Mk4's? In my Mk3 and all other Mk3's I've seen, its beside the ashtray and accessed be removing ashtray etc.

Is there such a thing as a standard location are are there 1 or 2 common locations etc?

    Any help appreciated!
    Pernic

Ps Have a happy crimbo and a Mega new year!

not wanting to question you mate, i know you know your stuff, but on the mk4 golf, the OBD connector is just above the ashtray, covered by a small plastic fascia, just below the climate control console?

    Nice one guys,

I'll be able to check the car with ease now! Rather than fumbling around under the steering column etc. I'd have had the car half pulled apart before I found the connector LOL

    Cheers
