Main headlamp failure

Arghhhhh can someone help me please.

Have checked bulbs which are ok, but do not know which relay operates them can anyone describe where or what number the relay is.

i would not be that bothered but as i have to get my son back to his bitch of a mums for christmas i am running out of ideas. fuses are ok, shorting out at lamp end, switch looks ok

have you checked with a volt meter, do you have power at the headlight connection????

have checked with voltmeter no power to the lamps, side lamps work and main beam but main headlamps do not

There is only a relay on cars that had the recall and this is usually behind the switch but as it was a retro fit, it can be all over the place. The most common failure is the switch itself. Is everything else on the car working such as wipers and heater blower?

everything else is working apart from what i have mentioned. went to vw and they said relay 24 which of course they do not have in stock but i could not see anything marked 24 anyway arghhhhhhhhh
