Hi there,
Having spent about 8 hours on my knees today, removing most of the interior on the passengers side of my wifes Touran - I have finally found the cause of the water ingress in the footwell and central locking anomolies. The water hose that runs to the rear of the car for the rear window washer (which seems to run in the wiring loom that sits just under the dash in front of the glove box) is burst and is pouring water into the wiring loom then on down to the ECU causing the central locking to go bananas! Oh how I laughed!
The loom is virtually inaccessible without removing the complete dash board.Does anyone have any tips for removing the dash, or is there another way?? Has anyone seen this before?
The car is a Touran, 2.0l sport TDI, 53 plate with 44k miles approx.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated?
