Hello everyone, hope someone can help??

Got a cat back milltek on my car at the moment but have been thinking of getting a downpipe sports cat fitted but not too sure about spending £600 on one??

Anyone know how much of an advantage they are and where i could find a cheaper one??

    cheers for any replies

the downpipe is restrictive but the cat isnt tbh. I wouldnt waste money on a sports cat. Its been proven there are very little if any gains from one. The downpipe is worth while however.

my brother recently went from a jetex 2.5" downpipe and sport cat to a 3" downpipe and decat and gained 9bhp on rtech's dyno. power went from 224bhp to 233bhp. I also have the same downpipe and decat fitted to my A3 1.8t and i cant reccomend it enough. Its very easy to fit yourself with very basic tools (2x 13mm spanners and a 17mm spanner) which is good because you will have to swap back to the original cat for MOT.

Yeah i know. I have had the decat on for about 2 years and i have never been pulled over for the exhaust being too loud (it isnt) or had a roadside test. I just need to spend 15mins under the car replacing the cat once a year.
