i have an a4 (b6) and i am trying to change the original concert head unit for my nak cd400
however as the concert uses a cambus system to power up there is no 12v on ignition wire to power up my unit on key turn.

Does anyone know of a good place to tap into an existing 12v on ignition line? maybe the heater component has one im not sure as my multimeter is broken...

The previous owner of my car had taken a feed from the fuse supplying the windscreen wipers. When I say taken a feed, all they had done was wrapped a wire round one of the legs of the fuse before reinserting it. Far from ideal but it works. I want to work out a better solution in the long term though!

hahha classic! well i suppose there is enough "juice" running through that particular fuse but yes that is "far from ideal" lol there must be some sort of conrtol unit for something in the car that doesnt use cam-bus to turn on that i could junction box a new wire out of.
its rather annoying falling at hurdle #1 lol
