    hey folks i am in need of bit of help if you can i have a 2001 t4 transporter 2.5 tdi ,,, the problem is is on a straight flat road when i get up to 80 the engine looses power and it drives slow through all gears but if you turn ignition off and on the power comes back till you hit that sort of speed again i got a mate to put it on the vw computer and it came back with turbo over boost but it looked like the wastegate isnt opening i have ordered a new solanoid but really dont think its that is there any common problems ? does it need ajusting ? help

    me again nopticed someone else describing a similar fault and notice you talking about a n75 valve ?? what is that cheers

    Hi The n75 is the charge pressure control solenoid,have you checked ALL the hoses? If you have a vacum pump you can check the wastegate.

    yeah mate put it on a pump and with pressure the wastgate valve moved freely but when reving hard it didnt seem to move when all connected up and all pipes seem fine no splits or holes in it its so strange cos runs perfectly till get to that 80 mph

    have i ordered the correct part too it have ordered the smaller looking pump under the larger one held on by two 10mm nuts the part i have ordered is 701 906 283 mt2

    the larger one is iho 906 627 51/00

    Sorry i have not Etka (Parts cat) innstalled.but if you trace the hose from the wastegate you cant go wrong the other solenoid is for the EGR valve

    sorted i have replaced the solanoid leading to waste gate and problem solved it wasnt opening it enough at top end and shutting down into limp mode
