    I have a mark 3 16v gti and recently the acceleration doesnt seem to be up 2 spec. It will hit flat spots through the revs, it never used to. Ne1 got any ideas?

    Yeah mate know what u mean mine seem to be a around 3000rpm once past 3400 to 3500 the car picks back up to speed.I myself don't know bugger all about cars just found this place seems great so gone try a few ideas that people have left around here.

    1)Clean the filter as i can imagen u have an induction kit and air ways

    2)Also i'm trying the clean trottelbody

    Just gona give those to a go see what happens the only way to learn is to try lol.

    Try changing the oil and fuel filter if it hasn't been done in a while.

    Hey ya just a quick update, i had replaced the coil pack Ht leads and spark plugs all seems fine now, as it had the wrong sparkplugs in by the looks of things.Should of checked that after i bought it.Thanks for your help.
