A6 2.5 V6 Noisy Cold Start

Hi all,

My 2000 A6 2.5 tdi is very noisy on the first start up- sounds like an old tractor. Once it warms up it purrs lovely. Any help would be appricated.

Mine too,

think diesels are much noisier when cold. Doubt its anything to worry about.

Likewise on mine, think diesel technology has moved on a lot in terms of refinement in the past 7 or 8 years.

Just think of how much better the mpg is on the car in comparison to the 2.4 V6 petrol, feel smug and turn up the radio !!!
