    I have recently bought a mk4(3.5) golf convertible on a t-plate,only one key come with the car ,the standard non remote key but it does have central locking.
    How can i find out if my car is compatible to use a remote key fob?and the best way to do this thanks

    Best way to go forward with that one is to go to a VW dealer and take it up with them. You'll need to security card of your car though (incl. chassis number, radio code, etc...) This security card will enable the VW dealer to cut you a second key (which you do need).

    If you don't have the security card of your car, take the cars paperwork along with you and proof of ID (passport preffered) in order to prove ownership.
