    Hi guys

I hope you'll excuse my first post sounding like a sales pitch! I really don't mean it to sound that way.

Since being a kid I've had a passion for cars and now at the ripe old age of 54 I've not changed! Two years ago I bought my most radical car to date - an Ariel Atom. I can't even use the excuse of mid life crisis as I'm well passed that.

Anyway, about the same time my partner and I started producing embroidered clothing for the Ariel Atom Owner's Club and it proved to be quite a hit with the members. It also provided a good income stream for the club too.

Since then, I've also produced designs for other clubs and circuits. I love doing it as it's an extension of my passion for cars.

Now I'm not sure if the VWAUDI forum has a logo or any merchandice, or indeed whether there's a need for such stuff?

    ...

I sincerely hope I haven't caused any annoyance to anyone by posting this message, if so, please delete it.

    Regards

    John & Angie

Forgot to mention, this is a hobby just now as we both work full time though I'd love my partner Angie to give up her crappy job at M&S on slave wages to do this full time. I meanwhile work for the police - yikes!!
    Have fun

Looks neat. I will also pass this to another forum I visit.

If you want to PM me a web address or something (you will need to make a few more posts before PM'ing) otherwise I will point them here.

    Cheers

    Thanks for the reply.

Please do post to another site. If you can also send me a link to it, I'd be grateful.

We don't have a website just yet because this is very much a hobby just now,

If the other site is car related, I'll probably register

    Cheers

Quite the seasoned forum advertiser. It started off so well too.

London Bikers, MB Club, Noble Forums, LoCost Builders (I like that one!), Jaguar Forums, Trident Sprint

If you wish to advertise, there are ways to do so. Please contact Stuart for further details.

Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.

Thanks for the info and advice.

I have written to Stuart as suggested.

You did miss one forum out though and that's the Ariel Atom forum It was as a result of doing the embroidery for the Ariel forum that I received requests to post to the other forums you mentioned - I guess many Atom owners also own other cars too.

Each time I posted to a forum I used to type from scratch and I then discovered it was easier to copy & paste.

I really don't make a habit of posting to lots of forums unless requested by a member of that forum and of course I understand if you wish delete my post.

I really don't wish to offend anyone and I'm really sorry if I have.

    Regards

    John

On the surface it seems an alright kind of venture.

I would sport a black beanie hat with a bright orange forum logo across the front i think.

I guess the main difference between us and most commercial embroidery businesses is that we really enjoy doing the worl and being creative.

We both have demanding full time jobs and therefore do all this stuff in the evenings and at weekends although Angie is working this weekend.

We also send pics of the patern to those wanting shirts or whatever and make alterations until we get it right, even if it's just for one item.

Yes, of course we want more work! As I explained in my first post, I'd love Angie to be able to give up M&S and concentrate on it full time but that's a big step to take.

Anyway, here's a picture of my sweat shop worker Angie.

She does the machine work and this is me

Hi all, hope everyone's enjoying the Great British Summer' weather!!

I'm still driving my Atom daily and getting rather wet into the bargain too. At present, my other car is off the road so I have no option.

Been very busy doing embroidery designs and would obviously love to produce for the forum, of course with the owner's permission.

    Cheers

    John
