I have an Audi A6 2003 (53) which has a built in Sat nav in the boot, but it also has a space above it for a cd changer which is great.
BUT how do i install one that is the question??
Is there a special lead i need or is there already one there that is hiding somewhere??

If anyone knows please help me.
    Thank you in advance,
    Claire.

Sometimes the leads are already there ( i'm guessing this is an old shape A6, not the MMI equipped one). It will be held in a clip about 6-8 inches away from the changer location.

If not you can buy them from Audi, but pretty expensive (£55-£60 +vat if memory serves me correctly)

You should be able to get the leads on eBay. I got one for my A4 there, but I needed the dashboard changer lead, not the boot changer.

It's simple in all honesty, if the rear seat comes out, which is a major problem. To this day I have not managed to get the rear seat out, despite people sending me instructions. I believe mine is fixed. If needs be, shove your hand under the seat to get the cable there. I ran the cable (bought from e-bay for 10 quid) just under the edge of the carpet out of the way. If you have a Concert II CD player, the cable will plug straight into the back of it. However, to do all this you have to take the glovebox out so you can get behind the centre console. It's simple as long as you can put it all back together again. My change came with a free A6 Avant cradle, which fit perfectly into my A6 saloon, which was a bonus!
