    Anyone had any experience with diesel dump valves ,i am fancying one ,some people say whats the point others say go for it but will it cause problems to the running of the car,also how easy are they to fit

    My advice, don't bother. There was someone on here with BOV problems recently IIRC, although I can't remember which engine it was on.

    Dump valves only really sound nice on petrol cars anyway IMHO.

    They can be done and kits are available but only for people with chav tendencies as they are completely pointless.

    Forge do a kit but as above totally pointless and you will find people in the know laughing at you.

    You'd be much better off getting it re-mapped and then you'll be laughing at them as you leave behind in your rear view mirror.

    Thats sound guys,thanks for the advice will spend the money somewhere else,i want to put on a bonnet extension and smooth out the bonnet,i am a smart repairer by trade so won't be a problem,and will paint it at our bodyshop going to shave the boot aswell,anyone no where i can get the extension piece from?

    For the best paint match use only Spies Hecker paint. This is what VW use in the factory. Before I was wise to this I had some paintwork done on my car (LB5N Indigo Blue) and the body shop used Dupont paint. The 'match' was total bobbins as there is around 50% less pearl effect in the Dupont paint, so the metallic finish looked flat and did not give the purple pearl effect of the Spies Hecker paint in the sun.

    yea thats what we use water based spies hecker,its good stuff,only problem is there is about 30 or so different varients,did some work on her when i got her a month ago ,went for lighter shade and it was still to dark,will probably blow the tops of the wings in so its not edge to edge

    i reckon u can lose boost pressure with these valves ,not worth it.like the people say,get a good rolling road re map.
