i have a 1999 a4 avant 1.8t sport b5, and was thinking of putting an original rs4 bodykit, though i am not quite sure if it will fit or not, is it me or are the rs4 front wings wider than my standard wings?, because if so in order for the bodykit to fit i will need rs4 wings as well.

You will need the wings as well...funny enough, the bonnet on the rs4 is a different part number but fits both models ! Might be that the rs4 one could be lighter ! Why not upgrade for carbon fibre wings ? They will cost less than the genuine parts and will be lighter as well .

i wont need anything for the back bumper or side skirts?

also do you know whether i can fit 18" genuine rs4 wheels?

    part number : 4 x 8J x 18 ET 43 - Part Number 4E0601025AB

Have a look at my web page it will give you an idea of whats needed to fit an RS4 kit but you can always mod the RS4 bumper to fit stock arches.

    OEM RS4 bumper install.
This is the "great" "packaging" which in the bumper was sent to me! The bumper was newer used, but It was full of scratches.
I started to test fit it, so I know how much it must be changed. The RS4 bumper is about 3 cm wider from the sides than S4.

Then I made a guide which helps to set the sides to correct position.

After glueing the guide to the bumper, I put the fiberglass filler to it.

The front light washer covers wasn't shipped, so I made those by my self.

The side mounts are different in S4 and RS4, so i removed the old ones and made new mounts.

Here is the final result, I think that it's better than the original S4 bumber. It fits there quite nicely.

Who would you recommend doing this in the UK - I ask as I'd like to do something similar but I want a perfect job done - any ideas?

One of my friend bought body kit from SMk tuning.
Kit arrived safety and in excellent condition.
It looks like they have the biggest offer on Ebay and excellent feedbacks.
I saw rs4 kit on Ebay and I think it's still available:

To have this done at a body shop would cost a arm and a leg so the next best thing and in my ryrs the best replica RS4 front bumper on the market is this dietrich-autostyle offering which will even take the RS4 grills with fog lights which no other aftermarket bumper does the only other difference is the swag line.
