Do you have the part number for either one? If so post it up on here and I'm sure someone will look it up for you.

It is unlikely as 4 and 6 cylinder cars tend to use different racks but I could only give you a definitive answer with your chassis number and the part number off of the rack on conBay.

Ok, well ile try and find the part number,

you might jest at ebay being a con, but it can save a fortune over the ***********, even for brand new parts sometimes.

If (during my working day) I had £10 for every tale of woe I here about fleaBay VAG related purchases, I could supplement my income to the tune of around £30 a day.

I think ile risk £20 against a part that the *********** will charge me £300+ for, also ile let my mechanic fit it at £30 an hour rahter than paying £100 an hour to audi. I do love my car, but i hate getting fleaced.

I have bought several VAG items in the past off ebay, always go ta bargain and never had a problem, if you think about it, anyone who buys off ebay withotu a problem, isnt going to be telling you about it are they ? because theres really nothing to tell, so for the probably exadurated 3 per day you talk about, there are probably many more satisfied people who bought parts off ebay on those days.

similar to how anyone looking at these forums my think Audi`s are very poorly built unreliable cars, because the forums are flooded with problems, but the Audi users who are happy generaly wont come along to the forums and post that they arent having any problems.

Not exaggerated at all, in fact underestimated if you think we have three people on the phone all day long plus me jumping in to help when needed. All day long we get people who have brought parts elsewhere ringing us up asking us how to fit them and very often these parts are from fleaBay, you won't change my mind about conBay any easier than I will change yours! One day you will have a problem and you may find the seller often very reluctant to help.

Heres the part number cast into the rack mentioned, 7853 501 1
    build date 22 09 03
    my VIN is WAUZZZ8E23A183530

    Thanks

On the ebay front, I generaly always research before buying, which i suspect your customers dont, but even if i buy a part in the future which looses me money due to it being wrong or faulty. I have saved so much money in the past with this method, it would simply offset itself and be no overall loss to me.

Well the number off the rack is a ZF number that I can't cross reference to a VAG number but your car should take rack VAG number 8E2 422 052 H which went to 8E2 422 053 E or the exchange number 8E2 422 052 TX. The H rack and the TX both cross reference to each other and both were also used in 1.9 TDI between 5/01 and 12/04. Without the VAG number off the fleaBay rack, I can’t be any more accurate than that.
