new battery time?

hi all , have been using my 1.8t passat for 3 weeks now ,, when i purchased it hadnt moved a lot for 6/8 weeks so gave the battery a good trickle charge until full , ,i use the car for 3 days then not for 3 days & cant help noticing after its been stood it sounds like the battery has just enough to start the car , ,not a problem after 1st/2nd/3rd day running the car , ,2003 - 96000 miles , ,is it getting time for new battery or is something draining? , , andy

well i suppose they dont last forever.and after a 100,000 mls dont u think u need a new battery
plus at this time of the year it takes apounding

1st VW so just wanted to hear the news , ,previously had 98 1.8 c class & sold it with 134000 miles still on original battery,clutch & exhaust after 7 years , ,at £40 for a new battery its a no brainer, ,not worth the hassle of playing will it ? wont it?
