Hello can anyone help?

I have a Diesel 130 ps 2002/2 Passet and the red display Service Now Countdown appears on the dashboard and comes on every time I start the car. Ive tried to follow the instructions in the VW Manual without success. How can I knock it off so it reverts back to the 15000 klms

you'll have to take it to a dealer if you want it set back to longlife as reseting through the clock way set it to time and distance but if the lights on don't you need a service?
