    Hi All,

My car is a 1.8T VW 2001 Golf (AUM)

I bought a vag com lead from Ebay (good seller, positive feedback).

I have installed Ross Tech shareware 409.1.

I am running it on a laptop with XP.

I did have some initial driver issues but sorted that and the program when I test it (Not plugged in to car) finds the port.

When I then try to do the first run on the car, you have to test it again through options, again it finds the port, it even lets me save it but it isnt saving the test.

When I then try to run the program in any individual control modules it says 'No response from controller'.

Can anybody shed some light as to what may be an issue I can check?

    Thanks
    Gavin

Have you tried uninstalling the software completely and starting again?
Sometimes if you experience issues installing USB drivers under XP it is always good to roll back to before the install and try again. Try to get all the software and hardware installed without any errors and re boot.
