    HI

Im thinking of buying a used 2004 new shape A3 Sport TDI 2.0 and wondering if anyone has realistic mpg figures?

The figures from manufacturers are never right!

    Thanks

I've averaged 41mpg in my 170 over 25000 miles - so it will be better than that.

much better if you drive more sensibly than me. tend not to hang about.

incidentally, when i was looking I calculated all my figures based on WhatCar's urban figure for mpg.

    170 / 140

    urban:

    36.7 / 40.4

    combined:

    49.6 / 52.3

    Out of town:

    62.8 / 62.8
Current Car: Skoda Octavia vRS Hatch 2.0TDi 170 CR in Candy White
Outgoing Car: 2007 56 Plate Audi A3 Sport Sportback 2.0TDi 170 PD in Black

My 2.0 TDI returns 46 - 51 mpg on average which is a mixture of A roads and light town traffic

My 2.0 TDI 140 (S-Line) is giving me 47.1 mpg average over 3000 miles since I had it. This is a mixture of mainly town driving and 40 mph single track.

It has gone down slightly since the weather turned colder and more people on the roads due to the bad wet weather and driving slower/stop/start etc.

    Hope this helps a little.

But compared to my last car at approx 21mpg this is fantastic and no complaints !
