VW Passat CC 2014

Recently acquired a VW Passat CC 2014 2.0 diesel. It was a non starter with no communication to ECU. Fuses checked and relays checked. Replacement ECU set acquired and installed. Still no crank and makes no attempt to start. When scanned with think diag it comes up in Canbus that there is no communication with ECU still. Any ideas on what to try next?

Post a full car scan and include the VIN. Does the steering unlock? What do you mean by "ECU set"?

My full car would have to be from Think Diag as don’t have vag-com. The ECU, clocks, comfort control unit, key and ignition barrel were all changed from a donor car.

Was the steering column or lock from the donor car used?

Yeah the steering lock was used from the donor car and locks and unlocks when key is put in and removed
