Front suspension noise

Well its been a couple of weeks - the car has been to 3 garages, 1 was a Audi dealer, to try and find the cause.........nobody can pinpoint it!!!
Audi had the car for 2 days, they could replicate the noise while driving but could not find the source of the problem - as they said " all the usual culprits of this noise are new - its all been replaced - we don't know!"

I'm out of ideas!!!

No, new steering gear (AKA incorrectly called the “RACK”)

So took the car to a Power steering specialist/reconditioner this morning.............this has not helped!

They removed the rack (a LOT of swearing!).....inspected it, put it on a hydraulic test rig........apparently, nothing wrong with it - they openly said they can sell me a replacement (£330) but it will not make a difference!

totally lost with this now...

Yes they have - that was actually the first job I did on the car when I got it!

What a PITA. The “new” subframe I guess must have been used as a new one is currently £2160, so were the mounts new?

Indeed a PITA!!!

Yeah - the frame was used but was in good condition, but I had it dipped and blasted then repainted - new FEBI bushes were pressed in.
The only thing that didn't get changed were the securing bolts - they didn't arrive in time......and now I seem to have lost them!
