Hello Everyone,

No matter if it's summer or winter, hot or cold weather — whenever I don't use my car for 5–6 hours or more, I get the same issue on startup. When I turn the key, the engine starts at a high RPM (above 1000) and makes a loud noise. After about 15 seconds, the RPM drops to normal and the noise fades away.
My car has 110,000 km. Spark plugs have been replaced, and the oil was changed just a week ago.
Some people told me this is completely normal, but a few others suggested that the timing chain might need to be replaced. Since replacing the chain is quite expensive, I wanted to ask you guys first:
Has anyone experienced something similar?
Would replacing the timing chain actually fix this issue?
Or could there be another explanation?
The sound doesn’t happen every time, which makes it harder to be sure if it's the chain or not.
Thanks in advance!
