    2012 Audi A6 C7 2.0 TDI Multitronic (tranny coe 0AW)

I know failing flywheels comes in many shapes and forms but can the following clues lead to a faulty flywheel?

    - Car turned on and gear lever in P or N - No vibration or rattle
    - Car in Drive and foot off the brakes (but not on accelerator) and it slowly starts moving - rattle noise
    - Accelerate moderately and the rpm sticks around 1600-1800 - vibrations and rattle.
    - To get rid of the above situation, I have to press the gas hard. Once it goes above 2200 rpm everything is good. See video
    - Issue only happens at lower RPMs
    - Did not notice any clutch slippage
    - Gears also shift fine. Meaning up shift and down shifts happens as needed
    - Sometimes after starting from a complete stop and going uphill, I have noticed the car jerking
    - No gearbox or engine fault code present

The box is a type 0AW but there will be a version code such as NDQ, NKP, NDP NSL, PCH or NDM. The DMF is a dumb part so no diagnostic abilities and will not cause clutch slip, unless it falls to bits. Yes they do rattle as do the almost identical manuals; it is an odd design, the idea being to get the transaxle further back than the previous design but it is unreliable.

Thanks @Crasher. Checked the manual and the gearbox code is NSL. So you think DMF could be the suspect? Was just thinking why doesn't the DMF rattle when the car is in Neutral. It rattles only when R or D is engaged and the foot is off the brake.

It is how they are, some rattle in neutral and others in gear.

Understood. I also feel a loss of power and despite pressing the accelerator pedal, the RPMs stick to 1800 (this is where the vibration and rattle is at max) and speed gradually increases. If I put my foot down then it flies. No issues there
