Intermittent Air Conditioning + Interior fans turn off

Hi All,

Recently bought an 2009 RS6 C6, it has a few little niggles that need sorting and one that's just presented itself, which I've not come across before on my previous C6's is that the Air conditioning operation is intermittent. It's typically not working more than it is, but when it does work, it's ice cold. However, on my last journey, the interior fans have also started turning themselves off completely, even though the fan speed is reported as 9 or 10 for example.

Usually when the air con isn't working and the fans are, it's blowing hot air into the cabin, not even cool air. Turning off the HVAC control panel via the ECON button and turning it on again, enables the interior fans but usually not the air con.

Does any one have any ideas?

Digging back in my memory, we did quite a few radiator fans on these, make sure they are coming on with AC operation. I was digging around in a cupboard the other day and found one of those main fans, don’t know why we kept it.
