Hi! Would anybody be able to advise, where is the above sensor located (CABG engine - 136 HP)?

I have Implausible signal error with MIL on, and now every time I drive the car for longer then a few minutes, the DPF regenerates (multiple times a day). My mechanic is booked up for about 2 weeks, and a bit concerned driving the car like this with all the heat that is being generated with the regeneration. Tried to search the internet, but only found other models, where it doesn't even seem to hard to replace it... I have ordered the sensor, but when took off the top engine cover, couldn't see it anywhere (Ross-Tech mentioned something along the lines of being behind the oil cap in a foil pouch, but didn't see anything like that...

Sorry for the long post - so the questions are - 1. where is the sensor, 2 is it OK to drive like this with regenerating again and again?

    Many thanks!

VIN is WAUZZZ 4F 6 9N004308; have ordered the sensor and realized that it is much smaller than I thought from some youtube videos, so was able to find it - it is near the back wall of the engine, with the horizontal metal tube like structure partly blocking it... Today I also had the DPF light come on, which I have figured was due to erroneous values from the failed sensor; nonetheless have driven it for 15 min in S gear with high revs, and the DPF light is gone now, but still regeneration fans are going every time I drive it, so still concerned if that is OK to drive like that... Will see if I could try to replace the sensor myself, but bit sceptical given how blocked in the sensor is....

We refuse to fit anything other than but genuine sensors from TPS, aftermarket have given me far too much trouble. Yours has two sensors 03L 906 088 AB (Black) before the DPF and 03G 906 088 BA (orange) after the DPF.

Unfortunately I don't have access to TPS, but the sensor I have ordered is Bosch, so thought it wouldn't be too bad for my vintage car (as Audi classes it ). The part that came out said: 076 906 051 A on it... (maybe this is not even the thing I should have replaced.... ) Anyhow, cleared the error code, but wasn't able to code in the sensor under the engine module.. Would it not work correctly without the coding?
On the positive note, aso far the MIL has not come back on, but the regeneration still gets going after even short driving... Previously I would only hear that maybe once a month or less....
    Many thanks!
