    Hello all,

I have a quick question. A friend of mine has an Audi A1 1.6tdi 2012. He needs to replace his flywheel, he is also going to do the clutch kit and throw out as it will be appart but he can't keep the car off the road for too long. Would it be possible to know the exact ref number of the LuK or Sachs kit without dropping the gearbox?

If I can remember rightly, a friendly member here called Crasher (I might be wrong) kindly ran my VIN when I had my A3 to do.

Would anybody here be able to help if I can get the VIN N° ? Or could he just phone Audi?

What would be the best route to take?

For information we are in France if that changes anything.

    Thank you in advance

In the UK, if you phone the dealers parts department and ask for part number you get told to go away. What is the VIN?

The system shows it originally had Sachs fitted but this doesn’t matter if you fit all LUK parts

    Flywheel 03L 105 266 CF, Sachs 2294 001 344 or LUK 415 1015 10

    Pressure plate 038 141 025 D Sachs 3082 299 335 or LUK 123 0378 20

    Friction plate 038 141 033 C Sachs 1864 527 337 but LUK listed as not available

    Or, two piece kit 038 198 141 P Sachs 3000 845 701 or LUK 623 3074 00, both are 3 piece including release bearing

    Release bearing 02A 141 165 M Sachs 3151 000 388 or LUK 500 0440 10

    Pressure plate bolts N 903 207 01 x 6 Sachs set 1874 000 002

Release bearing arm 02J 141 719 C (genuine only for me)

    Guide sleeve 02A 141 180 A Sachs 3114 600 007 or LUK 414 0024 10

    Sleeve bolts N 903 554 05 x 3 (genuine only)

    Retaining spring 012 141 741 (genuine only)

    Ball stud 02A 141 777 B (genuine only)

Neither Sachs or LUK list a four piece kit and in LUK’s case, this is because the car has stop/start.

In my case here in the UK, Sachs would be the easiest to obtain but I am happy with either.
