    Hi All,

As the title says, I'm having a nightmare with my Audi A3 (58 plate Black Edition, 110k miles) - It's been in the garage now for 4 weeks!

Initially I started hearing a clicking noise from the engine & my brakes hardened up considerably, paired with a red warning light to check oil level - So I took it in & they said my vacuum pump needs replacing, I need a new battery & the oil sump sensor needs changing, which I gave them the go-ahead to carry out,

1 week later I get a phone call to say my car still isn't fixed & there's now a Turbo Actuator Diaphragm error which will cost me a further £600 (total £1200 now) - which is obviously a decision with it being an old car, but I need it for work & can't afford a new car right now so give them the go ahead,

1 week later... phone call to say they're really sorry but It's not fixed the issue & they feel I need a whole new turbo, they said they can put my old parts back on & take a hit on the labor (apart from the oil sump sensor) and quoted me £1300 for a new turbo but suggested It's possibly worth me scrapping it,

I love my car but I'm not sure I can justify paying that amount of money, I can't stop thinking about something else going wrong or it not fixing my car - I also wonder if I do need a new turbo, I've had the turbo actuator error code a few years ago and I didn't need it replacing I had a problem with my DPF filter and once that was resolved it cleared that code,

If anyone can offer any advice I'd really appreciate it, I'm really not sure what to do! I've just left it there in the garage for now
