    Hello folks,

I'm after a little help please.

    I have a 2000MY A4 B5 Avant with a 1.8 20V 4cyl petrol APT engine.

    Reg number W217 SVG.

The mass air flow sensor has 6 pins but the plug, in the loom, only has 5!!!!!!! is this right? There is a gap where the 6th one should be. I cannot see any evidence of a broken pin at all.

I appreciate your help if you can.

    Many thanks Noony.

The plug is 5 pin and part number 1J0 973 775 A which will be moulded into the side; the sensor is part number 06B 133 471 and has five pins but something about what you describe rings a bell but I need to be at work to check.

Hi Crasher, Thanks for your response. This afternoon I slid the rubber boot off and there is no wire in the 6th slot.
