Buying a Sharan Japenese Import

I accompanied my nephew to view a 2018 Sharan 1.4TSI engine CZD with auto DSG gearbox SYA. 110KW 7N24GY model with 29,000 miles

The visual examination of the body, engine compartment and underneath all looked very good. However we have a few worrying questions.

1. For some reason the chassis number in the front windscreen area had a white label stuck over the first part. See picture below. The second visible part is the same as the code sticker on the service book, so the missing part is wvwzzz7N, which seems irrelevant but am I missing something more sinister.

2. The infotainment system will be updated to a UK one by the dealer. Is there anything I should look out for.

3. The dash analogue dial reads in Km/h. The dealer says it can be changed and he will arrange for a dial sticker to be placed on top of the existing one. Is this reasonable or should the whole instrument panel be replaced.

I think that concludes our concerns but please add anything else we should check.

Replacing the panel is tricky because you have to work out which you need and expensive plus it requires ODIS to code it in.
