Hi. I have 3l TDI 276hp version in a 2017 model. It has had a recent history of emissions based issues and has had the Adblue, Adblue Injector, Nox sensor and DPF replaced, by Audi at a cost of thousands but since then it seems to be entering regen mode a lot and running through Adblue way to fast. I think it has currently used around 40l of Adblue in 7000 miles and is probably attempting a regen every 50 to 80 miles, even on a 'run'. Granted, I do a lot of short journeys during the week but every weekend the car will get a run of an hour or more but before the repairs, it would never regain this much.

I currently have an OBD Eleven monitor (Yes yes it's not VCDS) and it is showing the measured soot load increasing way faster than the calculated soot load. I have had this double checked by an indie using his unit but he is under the impression the engine is fine and directed me back to Audi as he thinks it is an exhaust issue, either sensor or actuator, possible involving the Adblue injector. It has been back to Audi since then and they say there is nothing wrong but I am not convinced. Any independents I have been to are saying it isn't right but have no ideas as everything has been replaced.

I am at a loss and just wondering if there has been anything similar happened to anyone else on here?

Has the reductant tank and ECU been changed for the revised version with the software update? What is the VIN?

Reductant tank is still original. As to software updates, I’d have hoped Audi would have applied the relevant updates but it’s not always guaranteed.

Are there any codes stored in the engine or reductant tank ECU’s? Can you find the reductant tank pump pressure value in the engine measuring blocks, it should be 5 Bar.

Nothing in fault codes for reductant, pressure value is about 5 bar. As far as I can work out, the exhaust system is reacting within the information it receives, regen coinciding with the measured soot level. Wonder if I am making additional soot because of an engine issue. I monitored the oil level, it is climbing slowly but can't work out if it's due to additional regens or something more serious. Not sure if a leaking injector would cause an engine fault code or not, would kind of hope it would but not entirely sure.
