Heya Folks, Been a long while, and yes still have the MY17 order 2016 plated Q7, .. looks like Audi could be crumbling as more ICE cars feel the onslaught on the whole maddening EV hyper machine.

In any, I need to go over the manual again when I find it, I was hoping if anyone on here already knew this at all?

I am wanting to confirm if the the Audi Q7 4M 2016 has tpms chip in the valve as I want to change and move the back tyres front and the front tyres back for even wearing will this affect the car at all and also is there an easy test to determine if the car has these tps chips

Would appreciate any pointers or if anyone has already doing this without issues

    Much appreciated
    Best Regards

What is the VIN? ICE's crumbling, hmm, not what the figures suggest when only 10% of private sales are EV's.

I think your car is the same as mine and mine doesn't have chips in the valves.

I think you should look at the MMI tire pressure menu: if there is also a pressure VALUE indicated, then you have chips, but if there is only "reset", then the TPMS is based on calculation and not on actual tire pressure. However, since our cars are all-time AWD, there is no need to change tires like this, as they wear out equally. And it also depends on the specific type of tire that if you want to change it, how should you do it, right on the right side or the right rear left front and the left rear right front and so on. I think, you should ask the manufacturer or distributor about this.

Don't think it was a UK option , I fitted it aftermarket.
If you look at the tyre valves if they have rubber stems and move then they are just plain valves.
If they are metal and you can see a nut at the bottom these are the transmitting type for TTPS, the stems are usually silver coloured.
    Hope this helps.

It has Pr:7K1 but the system I have at home doesn’t highlight the sensors part number, it would need the help of TPS or the Audi main dealer
