No spillage for a few miles until
today and heater has been working more
regularly-however today noticed the narrower bore pipe that comes from heater hose at bulkhead up towards head has a bulge and is rock hard just after clip -this hose is 5Q0 122 157 .
Could be blocked and wondering where this hose runs ?Any ideas is this the cause of my issues -I’ll try and post a picture

Ok -latest development is we have heat (feels toastie at times)running on short journeys however when did longer 30 mile journey lost heat from vents and it has taken several more short journeys to reestablish decent heat again - this time when vents went cold on longer journeys we have lost NO coolant from expansion tank .
So now thinking something to do with heater valve I believe NS near block or one of the secondary pumps - back one feeding heater circuit ??
Any thoughts ?
