Help identifying auto gearbox

Afternoon all.
2004 A4 Avant, 1.9PD diesel engine.
according to the options code list I have a Tiptronic gearbox (scan below)
but reading various sources this was only available on the Quattro models. This one is FWD.
the sales invoice says Multitronic.
According to the blurb I’m reading, multitronic was a CVT and the selector lever would not have a S position behind D. This car does have S so I thought Tiptronic until I read that was only on quattromodels.
also, all sources I can find say it would be a 5 speed. This one is a 6 speed auto.
Can anyone shed some light on this please? Euro spec, Spanish car.
the VCDS scan has option OG7 - Tiptronic.

It is a GJA code of the 01J series , a single speed "stepless" constantly variable Transmission , an absolute steaming pile of poo...

Many thanks. I’m not impressed with it but for now it will have to be OK. Is it worth getting it serviced? Or just hope it keeps going?

To be honest I am surprised it is still going, we haven't had one in for quite a while as most must have been scrapped. Yes it would certainly be worthwhile fluid changed buy having the rear cover removed to replace the main filter and clean the magnets on the F125 switch AND take off the line filter and reverse flush it (new they are £496.56) BUT almost all parts for this box went obsolete recently and like most parts even the rear housing gasket can only be obtained from Audi Tradition. I think we are the only UK company they currently supply, I placed a €2500 order yesterday. To chnage the fluid on these you really need someone who knows these boxes. One caveat is that it is not unknown that changing the fluid makes them worse but it has never happened to us although we always caution that it can to cover our ****.

Ok, cool. Thanks for the info. I’m located in Spain so finding a specialist might not be a simple task. And if parts are obsolete I’ll just have to leave it I guess.
Are there any alternative boxes that fit? I had a similar age Skoda Superb, same 1.9pd engine and that had a ZF box, which was fine. Not really wanting manual if it’s avoidable. Plus, I know my way round various ZF units having rebuilt a few in various JLR products.
would be a shame for a gearbox to make a car scrap.thanks. Dom.

I imagine you could convert to the Passat type 3B slush box but you would need a full donor car.
