    Hello all,
I’m importing a C7 from Japan, and according to the specification sheet, it includes TV reception for Japan (QE2, TVE), which suggests that the car has a TV feature.
The MMI will be converted to UK specification and updated to the latest firmware. My question is:
Does anyone know if the TV feature will work in the UK, or if it needs modifications?
Will I will need a tuner change/reprogramme... any thing else?
What needs to be done to get the TV reception working in the UK?

    Thanks

Hi Poosnip. I’m importing a C7 Allroad from Japan and wondering if you had any pointers on where to get the infotainment conversion from Japanese to UK done please? Did you resolve the question on the TV tuner?

i sent you pm . I resisted putting in Tv. Not required. My importer actually sorted all mmi the guy who’s details I sent u came highly recommended and did work for an Audi specificalist whose YouTube Chanel I watch. He knows his stuff and quoted me for tv but I just thought there was no need

Many thanks. Have contacted the guy based in Cambridge and he will do a mobile service to sort mine when it arrives in a couple of months time. How are you getting on with your Allroad?

Good … I am getting on fine. I came out of a 3.0 diesel of the previous model c6 so stepping into the 3.0 petrol allroad takes some getting used to . It basically howls and there’s no tourque until higher revs, then it goes . It’s a very tuneable engine so I will look into a remap. The car is almost perfect and I Paid an awesome price for a 58k mile 2013 car. I am just about to replace all suspension arms cause I hear the odd knocking probably £1k worth of work but I am looking forward to having the car feel like brand new. Air suspension is fine. No leaks or faults. Given the price I paid I have at least 4k head room. It has full Audi Japan service confirmed by Audi uk and it was serviced as soon it arrived in uk with a gearbox service as well for peace of mind ( get yours done as soon as you get it )

That’s interesting thanks - I thought it would be torquey low down as a supercharged unit. IÂ’m also planning on having the gearbox serviced by a specialist when it lands, which should be £2-300 max I hope.
Not sure what the Allroad with this engine is really worth over here, given the rarity of petrol versions which seem to be jap import only against the prevalence of the diesel versions. Mine is a 2014 with 65k miles.
Having heard bad things about the pan roof on the C7, I am hoping mine isnt afflicted with leaks. Looking forward to seeing it in a couple of months (having done the import thing a few times waiting for it is the tricky bit).
