    Hello!

After 11 mostly good years with my C6 A6 Le Mans, I’m excited to be importing a late 2013 C7 A6 Allroad from Japan. It has been paid for and is due to be shipped shortly. As long as everything checks out, I’m absolutely thrilled! I’ll keep you updated once it arrives and gets converted.

It’s a 3.0-liter petrol with a CGWD engine, and I have some plans in mind for it. One thing I’d like to change is the steering wheel—the current H-pattern one isn’t really my style. I’m looking for something with a flat bottom or round and paddle shifters.

Does anyone happen to know which compatible steering wheels (with part numbers, including airbags) I could swap it with? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

No replies? Fine, I’ll talk to myself!

My new-to-me A6 C7 Allroad 3.0 TFSI landed in the UK on December 17th. After MOT, duty, fees, registration, and finally receiving the sacred V5, I picked it up on February 2nd.

And you know what? I love it. A few minor issues needed sorting, but nothing major. My importer guy handled the MMI tweaks—even calibrated the speedo!

A quick scan of Auto Trader shows five nearly identical cars, all with more miles, listed for 30% to 60% more than what I paid. Whether they actually sell for that is another question.

For now, I’m just enjoying the quiet, smooth ride—and the fact that all the doors and parking sensors work! Small victories.

    Issues:
1.Creaking over bumps – like an old pram on cobblestones. Noticeable because the car is otherwise so quiet.
2.Headlight condensation – severe on the offside.

    Updates:
•Had CarPlay installed. Used VCDS to enable AUX, so CarPlay audio works.
•iPod issue – My old iPod worked in my C6 via the MMI-to-Apple cable. Now, it’s recognized in the C7, tracks play, but there’s no sound. Any ideas?
