I have a golf gtd mk6 cfgb engine and I get p0087 low pressure since it was mapped but only if I drive it hard , changed the fuel filter and I am now going for the lpfp but gsf list two very different looking pumps , or is one the complete pump and sender and one just the pump that goes into the existing unit Screenshot (3).jpgScreenshot (3).jpg

The 2.0 also has an inline pump near the dpf pressure sensor area. The image does look like one of these secondary pumps.

Why does it have a lift pump in the tank and then an extra inline one as well ?

What is the VIN? Some early Golf 6 2L TDI has an in tank lift pump, then another in line Bosch 044 style pump (actually 0 580 464 121) to bring the fuel deleievery to the mechnaical high pressure pump upto 4 Bar and later this was discontinued as it wasn't deemed necessary

Not easy to prove. I had a very early Golf 6 GTD in years ago that drove me to distraction with random fuel starvation, after trying everything I decided to start from scratch, I found that the first time it broke down it had a new in tank lift pump fitted and the garage put the fuel lines back on the sender top the wrong way around and due to the suction power of the additional electric pump it ran, without that pump it would never have run.

What is the VIN? VCDS measuring blocks in graph form and logging can help tie chnages in readings to the problem occuring. My initial reaction would be to return to the factory map and see if it still does it.
