I have a 2016 Seat Leon with the 1.4 TSI ACT engine CZEA and have been experiencing a judder when at biting point intermittently for almost a year and a half now. It occurs for me when the car is fully warmed up after a while of doing city driving - so a lot of clutch use. Although sometimes it will do it first thing in the morning. The judder can be quite severe making the car shake a lot but strangely on some days it can be completely fine! Apart from this, the clutch seems good, no slipping, no other issues. Mileage is 65k and I do like the car but thinking is it worth doing a clutch/flywheel replacement?

Doing some reading around on forums, it seems to be a common issue with this engine on the A3 too, so I'm wondering if there is a known cause.

By the way, I did some digging and LUK do an aftermarket clutch kit which is part no. 623308200 and the flywheel 415094810. Wondering if anybody here can confirm if this is correct. The flywheel is out of stock everywhere at the moment however.

We would fit the full LUK set 600 0169 00. With the box out a release fork, guide sleeve and pivot bolt may be required. The flywheel is revised.

Thanks. On PartsinMotion website that kit is showing as incorrect for my car?

Using Partslink24, the pressure and friction plate kit is 04E 141 015 K, the release bearing 02A 141 165 R and revised flywheel 04E 105 266 N. The basic LUK kit listed by Tec Doc is 623 3082 00 and the flywheel on its own 415 0948 10 and the flywheel is the conflict point. This often happens with LUK and you often have the supplier running back and forth trying to get the right parts. I think I would go for the basic kit, plus flywheel and order the sleeve and release bearing separately. If we see a conflict like this, we usually get the supplier to work it out.

Thanks Crasher. Like I said earlier the LUK flywheel on its own is out of stock everywhere so I’ll hold off for now. I’m wondering why the issue is intermittent maybe there’s some hot spots on the flywheel?

What can I expect to pay labour wise? I would be happy with £700-800 all in including parts.

Hey tempz. Mine is Passat b8 1.4 TSI with same engine code and parts number as yours. You are right the Luk flywheel is not available in the whole world 😓 , I emailed Shaffler almost 3 months ago ,they replied it should be available in week 32. Unfortunately nothing came out. Original just flywheel cost 950 + others parts + labour. Man I got caught with this engine. Did you found any solution yet. Glad if we share info. I am from Berlin
