Hi. Please bear with me on this one!

I have a 2003 A4 Avant B6. When I bought it, it only had one key with it. I went to see someone I know who owns a garage, and he told me that his mechanic could get a second key cut, and then code it to the car. Short story, he ended up locking the immobiliser in the head. Cue no car for several months, while I wrangled it with the garage. In the end, at their expense, they replaced the clocks, comfort unit, etc. The clocks wouldn't talk to the car properly, until I found a computer wizard who came half the length of the country to sort it out for me. We asked him to "virginise" the clocks, but instead he added my chassis number to the numbers already on the clocks.

My problem is this.. After all that, months of hassle (and the mechanic being sacked for constantly lying to his boss about it), I still have one key for the car! I have a second key cut, but I don't think the transponder in it is working. Is it possible to get the second key working, and if so, is there someone who can do this without the same thing all over again? I'm based in Kent. Thanks.

Any Decent Auto Locksmith can cut and program you a new key. Because your A4 is a 2003 they can do a B7 key fob for you also. nice upgrade.
