    Hi all,

Last year I had issues with the EGR valve on my 2.0 TDI 110 HP Bluemotion 2014 Tiguan and after replacing new one everything seemed to be right but after less than one year and 6k miles I have had issues again with newly installed EGR. Couple times car was loosing power, start-stop error on the board and also check engine and finally after running VCDS there was P042E error saying that EGR stucked open. Couple days ago I have installed new EGR valve and via VCDS have done EGR adaption (Engine -> Basic settings -> Adaption of EGR vacuum regulator solenoid valve). Is there anything else that should be done via VCDS to be sure EGR is now running smoothly?

If you fitted a none genuine valve, you will be doing it again soon.

I have mounted Wahler (it has VW AG sign). It should be the genuine, looks and has the same lettering as the factory valve had. Previous EGR valve was BorgWarner with Wahler cooler.
Here is how looks the new one installed:

And this is the previous BorgWarner that looks like was running 200k miles:

Because of that my question was should I do something else in VCDS beside EGR adaption in Basic settings which I've already done to check if everything is fine with EGR and running smoothly? I hope that the old valve was faulty from the beginning and there isn't anything else faulty that could lead to premature EGR failure.

Damn it, while browsing basic settings I've accidentally pressed "IDE00461 Resetting of learned values f closing time correction f inj 4". Does anybody know what this setting do and could this reset reflect on the fuel injection or particular injector?
