Hi all, I need to replace my shocks absorber (rear and front) but I don’t really know what brand to go for to replace the original shocks for my 2011 a6 avant 3L Quattro TDI with sline springs. I would ideally go for Bilstein B4 but unfortunately they don’t have the sport variant for my car and I can’t really justify £800 on a B12 kit. I have few brands in mind like Koni SRT T (orange) or Sachs. I have also seen Optimal but never really heard of them. What I am looking is a good OE shock that is balanced between sport and confort. Thx

    Hey Crasher,
Just a reminder to the above. Just to clarify I know what type of suspension I need it is just I don't really know which ones I should be going for. The more I read about it the more it looks like the B8 seems to be ones but they are just pricey. I see people complaining that Sashs and Koni are too much on the soft side and I don't really know what Monroe, TRW and KYB are even worth (they seem way cheaper than Sachs so it doesn't really inspire confidence about their quality)... There is also Optimale, but I have never really heard of them and there is little info on the web about those.

    Front dampers 4F0 413 031 CA, for me the Scahs 312 639

Rear dampers 4F0 513 032 AG, awkward, only Monroe really.

I could be tempted to go Koni Active ll round as on my Octavia.

Thanks Crasher, this is why I am having a hard time finding good replacement parts...I would rather have the same brand fitted all round. Are the Koni Active 2 a straight fit or it required some tweaking to install ?
