    Hi guys.
I've moved from an old C7 to a 3 year old hybrid

I have some gremlins atm I'm trying to figure it out.
Unfortunately my vcds cable won't help with this car, it's saying I have to upgrade to a proper one.

    Here's my issue

When i start the car, I goes into ev mode
Now, if I want to use the etron and chose the petrol engine, it wont start while im parked.

If I move a bit, engine will kick in and start.

Now, I also have the engine light on. Cruise control not working too, saying to read the manual about it.

I drove 10 min down the road , and done a stop and restart of the engine and it all was ok, engine light cleared off and all went well for 2 days.

This morning again, engine light on, no cruise control after 2hrs of driving, no other issues . (Well proximity alerts not working too. They werent working 1st time this happened either)

    Anyone had these before?

I read that it might be a manifold sensor regarding the regen temperature or smtg...

Couple of thoughts, though I did not have a hybrid. There is no regen on the eTFSi, that applies only to diesel engines. Would think the cause of the engine light coming on is the root cause of the problems. That said the C8, especially the earlier ones, suffers from issues relating to the camera based sensor systems. For instance if you turn the engine off and the restart with in a couple minutes all of the things like High Beam Assist, ACC, Brake Assist etc can stop working until you do a restart with a longer gap between stop and start

There is no logical alternative to a full car code read, save, test drive, reread and save then compare scans.
