the old lawn mower club, thats sad, interesting but sad

The model on the page is a Ransome Ajax, a friend gave me one at the beginning of the summer. It was designed in the 1920's and was produced to 1972.

Mine is a 1950's model and is brilliant at cutting my lawn good exercise pushing it as well

Just need to get a grass box

when i was a kid, we had a petrol engine lawnmower very similar to yours, a big roller on the back, a rotary blade in the middle and the front roller was wooden, the metal grass box fitted on the front.

it used to give the best stripes on a lawn, and the smell of the petrol engine and the freshly cut grass was just lovely.

i refuse to have any mower that doesn't have a full width roller on the back, as i like my stripes, and flat refuse to use anything that hovers as thay are worse than useless.
