All this comes from a lumpy tick over at times and a rough first mile or 2 in the mornings if i am in a hurry.
I am suspecting my #2 is a bit off, if you let the engine tick over it will wonder up slowly. I took a reading during a DPF Regen to see what it looked like and this is what i got.
I think my first port of call is something like D-Max or Diesel purge, any recommendations?

Anything even approaching +/-1 is a problem. Stick a can of powerful cleaner in, Nirox I think, easy to get on a near empty tank and half fill it with V Power, works wonders on our loan car Passat util a customer sticks supermarket **** in it.

Cheers Crasher, I always run BP Ultimate, cant remember the last time i seen Shell over here,I will have to google that one.
The more i think about it the more of a mess my poor car was in when i bought it.
I just ripped out the center console to fix a springy thing in the cup holder I manged to break. I found the other missing one and parts in there and got it sorted also
I also got the bulb replaced in the ash tray
and a previous owner was a rolly type person, one fell out and the carpet was a mess from "a good clean" that just diluted all the gunk and rinsed it down there (boke) all clean and sorted now, no more random odd smell.
    its the small things lol

Update, I looked at Liqui molly nirox and archoil. here is what i think:-
Liqui Molly is a maintenance fuel booster thing that can be used neat for cleaner work
Nirox is a fuel booster with cleaning properties
Archoil does 2 products a cleaner with a warning not to over dose and a maintenance version
so i went with the Archoil and the results are good.I did get it very lucky however as a regen kicked in as soon as i added it to the tank and then i had a 200 mile motor way round trip.
still needs another i recon as the original issue is still about...
