Hi i have a 2019 Audi S6 C8 it was registered in 2021 and purchased new by me and still has warranty, the car is booked into Audi monday 15th for its 3rd Service, and i have asked them to look at the Park Button, this is the Button to select Park on the Auto box, not the parking brake. I get every few weeks an error on the dash Park Button malfunction but it literally only appears for 5 seconds, and it doesn't stay on the dash as an ! The error only appears once, but it doesnt matter how many times you press the P it will not select Park. Previously it has started working again in minutes and all is fine, last week i was away on Business and again the p button stopped working after 10 minutes of trying i gave up and got out the car only to find that as it was not in park i couldn't lock it. Not great in a city centre public car park. Has anyone else had this issue? It eventually went into park after opening and closing the doors tailgate and Bonnet, i should have called Audi assist but forgot about it to be honest. Im guessing it needs a new shifter? Its got 28k on the clock.

Would strongly suggest that if it does it again before Monday then try and video it so you have something to show the dealer. Intermittent faults are always a real pain. Hopefully it is nothing more than a dirty contact or loose connector
