    HI all,

    friends Audi a5 died the other day leaving him stranded on the M25.
    symptoms were major vibrations then it just died.
    he got it recovered home and i then popped rounf to scan it.

    no codes showed, so i went to start it and it would crank but not fire.
    at this point i checked the injector variance, and noticed injector 2 was massively difference to the rest.

    feeling fairly confident that injector 2 was faulty, purchased a new one and fitted it.
    coded it, went to start the car and nothing!
    again it cranks but will not start.

    IDE01398 Injector 4: rail pressure calibration point 3 0.00 µs


    Fuel is getting to the injectors, i have not yet checked the bowl on the HPFP (next to do).
    But wondered if anything else would stop it starting.

    i can confirm crankshaft sensor registers rpm when cranking, Fuel pressure rises.

    Anyone else had this ? as i suspect it is not unique to this car.

    Shall be checking this tonight now i have some.
    also looking to check for blocked filter or failed pump after i have given it some squirt to see if it fires.

    Be very sparing with the sniff and have a hand on the key to shut the V157 flap if the engines goes ballistic… serious brown trousers time.
