    Hi All,

    recnelt purchased a 2015 CRTE audi a7.
It has the normal coolant leak in the V, maybe EGR cooler ? and more recently another problem.

The vehicle had a oil and filter change and since then (maybe coincidance) there is a clackiNG noise between 1000-2000 rpm.
i instantgly though chains ( had vr6 and 4 mo's before) but interestingly it does not make a sound when cold.
The noise is worse when warm.

Yesterday it had nother filter and fresh oil again (5w 30).
Could this be injectors noise (seals) it does not sound like injectors are blowing or letting by?? other than the water leak the engine seems dry around the injectors, and i must admit i am leaning towards chains
however the fact it is silent when cold is throwing me.

I am aware of 2 TPI's that could help me decide a course of action, but i do not have access to these.
i think these refernace possible Camshaft issues and how to check for specific things.

would anyone have these 2 TPI's??

    Jim.

The leak in the V will be the bank 2 flow valve, cheap part but many hours labour. Check the top of the manifolds for signs of sticky black goo signifying an injector ready to launch into low earth orbit.
