Ok, so this is my first post... I have poked around a bit to see if i could find simalr problems, but alas, i have not...

I have an 02 A6 4.2q... ok here are the issues... my elctrical system seems to be flaking out...
first it was the back up sensors.... just stopped working, fuses good...(not fixed)

followed by intermitant brake waring light, (disappeared recently)

all of these i are liveable with out.

however i have noticed the the ac fan is constantly running, even when the Ac is not running... poking around abit i noticed the the internal radiator fan is not working at all...

i traced the cabling (roughly) to a box with other similar cables unsure which one to disconnect to ohm out the fan... kinda reluctant to just start disconnecting cables, in the engine bay, ya know?

I tried to find the relay panel that controls it but can seem to.

all fuses in main box check out ok, with voltmeter...

I am reluctant to jump out and spend a fortune at the dealership, just yet... so i was wondering if anyone here might share some insight, before i plop down hundreds of dollars for troubleshotting....

I suffered warning light issue, was down to water ingress, due to the drain plug under the battery clogging filling up the pelumn chamber below the windscreen.

Is yours dry or wet ?

Yes, the Plenum chamber is a common fault. Check your passenger footwell for the electrics box, if everything round there is soaked then that will be the problem. Easiest way to check is pull up the carpets and check they are not wet underneath. There was a recall about it.
