Just saying hello as I join this forum but have an immediate problem. I drive a 2004 A4 Cabriolet and tail light bulb has gone off - giving me a warning on the dashboard. The manual tells me to go to a dealer (got to be kidding right)!!!

Anybody have any simple instructions for replaceing the bulb.

    Help is much appreciated.

    Welcome to the site.

To replace the bulb, open boot go to side bulb has blow and unclip panel with bulb in, replace faulty bulb.

The bulbs in some places are difficult to get at but not in the back

    Rob,
Thanks but 'unclip panel with bulb in, replace faulty bulb' is the problem, there doesn't appear to be any way into the whole tail light unit! The interior of the boot is completely carpetted out (if you know what I mean). Is there a 'secret' panel or entrance I am missing?!
